A Selfless Marriage

Wow, hard to belive that my wife and I have been married for 20 years! It is has been an wonderful 20 years and I am so excited for the next 20. I can honestly say the past 6 years of our marriage have been far and away better than than the previous 14. It was during this time that we learned how to really love, starting with loving God and then loving each other more and more.

If I could recommend one thing for every marriage it would probably be the audio cd by Gwen Shamblin called "A Selfless Marriage". In this CD Gwen teaches the basics of what changed our marriage. It taught me that marriage is not about me and to getting the focus off me and onto God first and then my wife. That simple, yet incedibly deep truth, has transformed our marriage into something beautful and amzaing.

Trip to NY

Back in August Sara and I had a chance to go to NYC with Laura. It was her high school graduation gift. We had amazing time! God blessed us with perfect weather and we crammed in a lot in three days.

Some of the things we did:

• Broadway Show - Mary Poppins
• Central Park
• Boat ride on the river and around the Statue of Libery
• Wall Street
• NY Bagels
• NY Pizza
• China Town
• And of course SHOPPING!

Raising Children

My wife and I have 6 children (currently ages 18 to 7)- all of which have been a great joy in our lives. But like most parents we struggled with how to really train their hearts and keep them focused on God.
